Two consoles, one champion!
For the first time in the tournament’s history, the FIWC will be played on both of the world’s leading gaming consoles – Xbox One and PlayStation®4! Whichever console you use, be sure to pick up your copy of EA SPORTS™ FIFA 16 in order to access the FIWC. There will be two leaderboards for FIWC 2016 online qualification (one for each gaming platform) and qualification seats for the Grand Final are evenly split between the two consoles.

Online Qualifiers
FIWC 2016 consists of a more condensed and intense online qualification phase. There will be three online qualification seasons. Each season will run for one calendar month (October, November, and December). There are 30 Grand Final seats available through online qualification.

Every season,10 players will qualify for the Grand Final (five players from Xbox and five from PlayStation). Each season’s qualification seats will be awarded as follows:

PlayStation: First-place and runner-up (Europe), First-place (North, Central America and Caribbean), First-place (South America), First-place (Africa, Asia and Oceania).

Xbox: First-place and runner-up (Europe), First-place (North, Central America and Caribbean), First-place (South America), First-place (Africa, Asia and Oceania).

Games Cap
Back by popular demand is the season games cap, ensuring that even the most pressed for time EA SPORTS™ FIFA fans out there can compete in the FIWC. With a 90-match games cap for each season, there’s nothing stopping you from finding some time to compete in the FIWC. The games cap does not stop you from participating in all three online seasons. Once a player hits 90 matches in a season they will only be able to resume playing in the FIWC game mode once the next season begins.

Grand Final expanded
The Grand Final is going big! From 20 seats in 2015, the FIWC is expanding to 32 seats for the 2016 Grand Final! More seats, more competition, more chances to win your seat at the Grand Final. Don’t miss your best chance yet to qualify for the virtual world cup.

Host Country Live Event
The traditional Host Country live qualification event will be the only live qualifier event for FIWC 2016 (The host country qualifier will be for Xbox only).
