Man Utd add FIFA 17 makers EA Sports as their latest commercial partner
Manchester United have announced video games giant EA Sports as their latest commercial partner.
The Fifa 17 makers will link up with the Old Trafford club for three years in another blow to United’s rivals.
Jose Mourinho’s world record swoop for Paul Pogba has been financed by a whopping 24 global partners – more than double any other Premier League club.
If you add regional, media and financial deals, managing director Richard Arnold is managing 70 commercial contracts, which means the money will keep pouring in.
United fans will get to see their club continue to splash out on signings as well as access exclusive Fifa content, wallpapers and social campaigns.
On the one hand, the move is an attempt to attract younger supporters to the club and keep them engaged.
On the deal, Arnold said: “The ability to bring sports fans together is simply in EA Sports’ DNA.
“By having these innovators on board with our family of global partners, we’re pledging to our 659 million followers that they can look forward to great content and concepts over the coming seasons.
“That much is evident in the exciting piece released today and the trailer for FIFA 17 The Journey, drawing on our unrivalled record of giving youth a chance.
“This announcement will no doubt excite many of our younger fans, and indeed some of our players, who will have grown up with the franchise and other EA SPORTS phenomena.”
On the other hand, this move could bring series of economic benefits.
Pogba’s arrival is likely to bring in plenty of money from shirt sales.
Jose Mourinho has been handed plenty of cash to spend this summer.
EA Sports has also been announced as the lead sponsor of the Premier League.http://www.fifa16guides.com/man-utd-add-fifa-17-makers-ea-sports-as-their-latest-commercial-partner/http://www.fifa16guides.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/EA-Sports-partnership-with-Man-Utd.jpghttp://www.fifa16guides.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/EA-Sports-partnership-with-Man-Utd-300x300.jpgFIFA 17commercial partner,EA Sports,FIFA 17,Man Utd
